Drawings; paintings; art in general. I am inspired by Africa, nature and anything uplifting. This blog is chiefly for my growth but I hope that it contributes to yours too!
I love colour! Especially in winter, although I love winter too. A dear friend gave me this coat and because she lives so far away I made this picture so that she can se how I appreciate it and dig it.

A friend sent me this picture of the awesome lighting storm we had this week early one morning. I wish I could have caught a few of those flashes but my place is some distance from where this was taken. See below for my pics!
This is the first time that I have ever seen such a unspeakably beautiful sky. It was dawn and I was a little late for work but I tried to get a few shots in. They came out better than I expected for an "aim-and-click" camera.
My newest preoccupation is random amature photography and all because one friend liked a picture I posted here and another friend liked some pictures I took of myself and asked me to take some of her even though she is terrified of having her picture taken. I confess I feel the same way because people seem to have no mercy distributing the worst pictures they can take of you! A case in point a good friend recently took a picture of me eating a banana and emailed it to all the friends who went to same activity. Obviously some kind of revenge!
Some friends and I attended the Olive Festival in the beautiful Riebeek Valley. It was held in the twin towns of Riebeek Wes and Riebeek Kasteel. I could have spent a week there just going for walks and taking photos but there were olives to hunt down, shops to explore and lots of cheese to taste. The paintings at the many galleries were a big disappointment but everything else was great. Next year I will go for two days instead of just one. Oh there was lots of wine but I don't do that :-P
